Tim has over 30 years’ experience working in, owning and managing businesses and organisations across a wide range of industries including insurance, data centre maintenance services, and the “not for profit” sector.

Since 2012, Tim has been the Principal and General Manager of The Australian IT Services Group that provides technical maintenance services to a wide range of clients and Data Centres Australia-wide.

Tim’s day to day involves managing some of Australian IT Services Group’s large accounts, liaising with the management team on all issues affecting our clients and team members and overseeing the company’s growth strategy.

Tim is a recent recipient of an Infrastructure iMasons IM 100 Award and was a finalist in the iMasons Education Award. He is passionate about raising young peoples’ awareness of the Data Centre and Digital Infrastructure industry and its potential as a career option.

Tim is the current President of the AFCOM Sydney Chapter (an international organisation devoted to the professional development and networking of all data centre industry participants) and is also currently an Australian Nomad Futurist Ambassador.

Tim Gentle is the Principal and General Manager of The Australian IT Services Group, bringing over 30 years of leadership experience across insurance, data centre maintenance, and the not-for-profit sector. Since 2012, he has led Australian IT Services national operations supporting critical data centre and digital infrastructure environments for a wide range of Australian clients.

A recipient of the Infrastructure Masons IM100 Award and finalist in the iMasons Education Award, Tim is recognised for his contribution to industry education and talent development in the digital infrastructure space. He currently serves as President of the AFCOM Sydney Chapter and as an Australian Nomad Futurist Ambassador, actively championing professional development, networking, and awareness of careers in the data centre industry.
