Most recently, John has led the successful launch of the Microsoft Datacentre Academy at VU. His work in building strong partnerships with government and the datacentre industry led to him receiving the 2025 VU Staff Brilliance Award in the Innovator category.

Before joining the education sector, John gained extensive industry experience as a software developer, IT Manager, Information Systems Auditor, and CEO of a global IT Managed Services provider.
