Bernard Norton is the Managing Director of Hitachi Energy in Australia. He joined the company in 2015, to accelerate the nation’s energy transition, secure our country’s energy potential and drive a productive and sustainable economy.

Under his leadership, Hitachi Energy is expanding across the utilities, mining, renewables, data centres and transport sectors, to help build a more resilient and sustainable electricity system with digital and power electronics at the core.

He is a purposeful and inclusive leader who fosters Hitachi’s culture of diversity, equity and inclusion, sustainability and integrity across the organisation, drives partnerships with industry and advocates for sustainable change.

Bernard holds an Associate Diploma in Electrical Power, a Masters of Management and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
